What is Meals on Wheels?

A non-profit, volunteer organization which provides low cost meals to people in Fullerton who are homebound and unable to shop for groceries or prepare their meals.

Are There Special Diets?

Special diets are available, such as renal, diabetic, low sodium, high protein and low calorie.

How Are Meals Delivered?

Volunteers deliver meals driving their own cars with office provided insulated containers controlling meal temperature.

Who Receives Meals?

Any homebound Fullerton resident is eligible. Clients may be shut-ins, elderly, convalescing individuals, or those living alone.

Where Are Meals Prepared?

At Providence St. Jude Medical Center and Meals on Wheels Orange County. Careful consideration is given to providing well-balanced, nutritional meals.

When Are Meals Delivered?

Two meals are delivered at noon. The service is offered Monday through Friday, holidays excepted.

What Is the Cost Per Day?

The cost of meals is under $10 per day. Subsidies may be available. Please call the office for more information.

How to Start?

Call the MOW office (714-871-2200) and answer a few short questions. Schedule a case manager home interview. Sign up for a 10 day trial period.

Other Benefits?

Regular contact with friendly volunteers who deliver the meals. For many, an opportunity to be independent and able to remain in their home during convalescence.
